Soprano Lena Lee

Lena Lee, a lyric coloratura soprano with radiant voice and versatility, has charmed audiences around the world.

Since she has made her New York debut as Carolina from the opera Il Matrimonio di segreto, Lena has performed in numerous operas in the New York Metropolitan area as well as in Korea. Her roles include Rosina in Il barbiere di Sigvilia, Blondchen in Die Entführung aus dem serail, Gilda in Rigoletto, and Norina in Don Pasquale.

As a Concert soloist, Lena has appeared in the "Midday Concert" at the United Nations and has performed with several ensembles at Lincoln Center. Her performance in Chamber music includes copious roles from Handel's operas, soprano soloist in Vivaldi's Gloria, Handel's Messiah, and Haydn's The Creation. Equally comfortable on the recital stage, Lena has appeared in many recitals in New York and New Jersey.

Not limited to the classical world, Lena has also shown her musical versatility through various crossover recordings and performances.

A native of Korea, Lena holds a Bachelor of music degree from Seoul National University and Master's degree and Professional Studies in voice from the Manhattan School of Music where she was honored with many scholarships. She is the first place winner of Seoul Joonang Music Concours, Harlem Opera Theater, and the prize winner of The New York Artist International Artists Competition and Liederkranz Voice Competition.
